Every successful civil engineering project is the result of a coordinated, multi-phase process—one that begins long before the first stake hits the ground and continues well after the ribbon is cut. At Abbie Jones Consulting, we guide clients through each critical stage with expertise, clarity, and care.
1. Feasibility & Planning
Before a project can be designed, we determine if it's doable. This early stage often includes topographic surveys, utility research, and early coordination with regulatory authorities. We identify constraints like flood zones, easements, and existing site features.
2. Conceptual & Preliminary Design
Using field data and planning feedback, we create early layout options—whether it’s a parking lot, sewer line, access road, or subdivision. We help stakeholders visualize the project and make key decisions before detailed design begins.
3. Final Design & Permitting
Our engineering team develops construction-ready plans, including grading, drainage, stormwater, and utility design. We prepare and submit permits, coordinate with architects and other disciplines, and finalize specifications to meet local, state, or federal agency standards.
4. Bidding Support
When it's time to bid, we help clients get competitive prices. We can coordinate bid documents, respond to contractor questions, and issue addenda to clarify plan intent—all to ensure a smooth bidding process.
5. Construction & Closeout
We support contractors and owners during construction, responding to RFIs, revising plans as needed, and conducting inspections or as-built surveys. When the project is complete, we wrap up permit requirements, provide final documentation, and celebrate a job well done.
AJC is proud to serve as your trusted partner from concept to completion.
