Company History

Abbie Jones Consulting began in 2011 from nothing to currently 9 staff. Ms. Jones is personally, and we are corporately, a licensed professional engineer (civil) in 6 and surveyor in 5 states and counting. We also have 2 other PEs and 1 other PLS. We have been 100% remote since the beginning which uniquely prepared us for the pandemic.

While our private clients appreciate our good work at a good value, some clients are glad to know that we are a 100% economically disadvantaged woman owned small business (EDWOSB) alternately known as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE). Wee have received multiple certifications which are helpful for our government clientele. Our government clients appreciate that several of our staff have municipal experience.

Our energy clients appreciate that we have a great safety "rating" (you can't get EMR until 25 staff). Our private clients appreciate that we have credentials and experience for technical challenges and property disputes.

We provide a variety of corporate benefits which continue to expand. We provide an AFLAC policy for all staff (FT and PT), a retirement account with some match, workplace and work time flexibility, some maternity leave, military leave/flexibility, and of course laptops for all staff. We are currently working to get 3 of our junior staff licensed and actively employ college interns.

States We Serve

Senior Staff

Abbie Jones, PE, PLS, President

Abbie is a 20+ year experience licensed engineer and surveyor in 6 states and counting. As a former city official in two states and a private consultant prior to beginning the firm, she understands both sides of the fence. Her survey experience is high precision. She has expert witness experience and has written over 200 pages of ordinances. She is the 100% owner and no staff are related to or married to her. Abbie's vision for our firm is a little different.

Tim Woodcock, PLS

Tim is a 35+ year experience licensed surveyor. His extensive heavy construction, quarry, mining, and large scale rural survey experience is important to the firm. He is our Safety Coordinator, and is Train the Trainer Passport Certified (energy). He has expert witness experience. Tim is one of our highest tech employees-doing large and very accurate 3d models and figuring out the AGIS standards are just a few of his shining examples.
